The Akhalteke Equestrian Research and Production Center
303The Akhalteke Equestrian Research and Production Center of Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A.Niyazov has been operating since July 2017. The main purpose of the center is to develop the equestrian industry of our country, to study the origin, history and unique features of Akhal-Teke horses on a scientific basis, which is based on the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex. The research and production center has two departments - Breeding and Horse Feeding and two laboratories - Midwifery and Embryology and Horse Physiology and Immunogenetics Laboratories.
To further enhance the worldwide fame of Akhal-Teke breed horses, which are the national pride of the Turkmen people, to increase their number in all lineages, to carry out breeding and breeding activities, to further improve the art of equestrian sports and various sports development is one of the main tasks facing the equestrian sector of our country. Research has a special place to play in the implementation of the tasks set before the sector. The work carried out by the Ahalteke Equestrian Research and Production Center on the implementation of the above tasks has yielded results.
The total number of pure-blooded Akhal-Teke horses belonging to the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex is distributed according to their respective categories in 17 existing breeds, depending on their breed quality (origin, body size, breed of mare, breed of horse breeds, spring and autumn horse racing results, tests in the cycle, etc.) were studied. As a result, the development of pure-blooded Akhal-Teke horses in our country, their rich national experience, world experience and the opportunities created to train them on the basis of the achievements of science have a very positive impact on the speed, beauty, durability and reproduction of horses.
The development of favorable breeding technology for young Akhal-Teke horses is important in the breeding of Akhal-Teke horses with good, fast, beautiful and strong body breeds. In this regard, the Center's scientists have been working to find ways to grow young horses, to use enriched food mixtures produced abroad and in our own country, to increase the milk yield of mare during breastfeeding.
Feed mixture KUVVATLY developed by the Scientific and Production Center for the introduction of new technologies in horse feeding was produced and the technical conditions of its production were registered by the Main State Service "Turkmenstandartlary". The "KUVVATLY" feed mixture successfully passed the production tests in 2018-2020.
The physiological parameters of Akhal-Teke horses have been studied in comparison with the Russian horse breeds, mainly due to their heart rate, respiration, body temperature and season of use, and as a result, it is clear that the heart rate and respiration of Akhal-Teke horses are higher than those of European horse breeds.
A study of the state of the immune system of Akhal-Teke horses found that some blood cells in the body of the pregnant mare were low in blood, and therefore their physiological ability to lay eggs was low.
